Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, property or street address, neighborhood/area, and the answers you provide in our assessment (for example, whether you are on the California FAIR Plan, your approximate current insurance cost, and your goals). If you become a paying customer, payment information is collected and processed by our payment processor.
• Information collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies, including marketing-attribution data such as UTM parameters and the referring URL.
• Approximate location for local availability: when you visit our site, your browser asks a geolocation service (ipwho.is) to estimate your general area from your IP address, so we can show whether TMRW is available near you. The estimate is city-level at most; the answer stays in your browser for the visit, is not received or stored on our servers, and is not used for advertising.
• Information from third parties: publicly available property, parcel, vegetation, terrain, and wildfire-risk data, and information from our service providers.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services and your property risk assessment;
• To communicate with you about your assessment and account, and — with your consent where required — to send you marketing;
• To connect you, at your request, with programs, grants, contractors, or insurers;
• For analytics, security, fraud prevention, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Marketing communications and your choices

Email. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at legal@projecttmrw.com. We honor opt-out requests promptly, and our commercial emails include our physical mailing address and a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

Calls and text messages (SMS). If you provide your phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us — including messages sent using automated or autodialed technology — about your assessment, offers, and marketing. Consent to receive marketing calls or texts is not a condition of purchasing anything, and you may withdraw it at any time. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, session replay, and advertising. Our advertising and analytics tags are deployed through Google Tag Manager and include tags from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics), Nextdoor, and Reddit. These tags let those companies recognize your browser or device, which is how we measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on their platforms. Under California law this is considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising — see “Your California and state privacy rights” below.

We also use PostHog for product analytics, which includes session replay: a reconstruction of your visit showing the pages you viewed and how you interacted with them. We configure session replay to mask the values you enter into forms and the personal details we display back to you.

Your choices. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when your browser or extension sends GPC, we do not load our advertising tags and we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. You can also opt out at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of any page.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We do share personal information — specifically online identifiers such as cookie IDs and device identifiers, your IP address, and information about your activity on our site — with advertising platforms so we can measure and target our advertising. Those platforms are Meta Platforms, Google, Nextdoor, and Reddit. Under California law this is a “sale” and a “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we receive no money for it. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, or property address to these advertising platforms.

We may share personal information with: service providers and processors that perform services on our behalf (such as hosting, email and CRM, analytics, payments, and an IP-geolocation service your browser queries directly to check local availability) under contract or terms of service; contractors, program administrators, or insurers when you ask us to connect you with them; parties as needed for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention reasons; and a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Your California and state privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; delete your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

Do Not Sell or Share; Limit Sensitive Personal Information. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of any page, or email us at legal@projecttmrw.com. We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing: when we detect GPC, we do not load our advertising tags for that browser and we show you that the signal has been applied. To limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information, email us at legal@projecttmrw.com.

Categories of personal information we have collected in the preceding 12 months include: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, postal and property address, IP address, and online identifiers such as cookie IDs); commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with our site); geolocation associated with the property address you provide; inferences; and property- and insurance-related information you provide. We disclose these categories to service providers for the business purposes described above. In the preceding 12 months we have shared internet or other electronic network activity information and online identifiers with advertising platforms (Meta, Google, Nextdoor, and Reddit) for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

California “Shine the Light.” Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email legal@projecttmrw.com.

Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a verified request to opt out of the sale of certain covered personal information by emailing legal@projecttmrw.com.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, if the changes are material, provide additional notice as required by law.
